Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to integrate the Accounting department, based in Cascais.
The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

 

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant applies accounting principles and procedures in working with specialized accounting records and reports. Assemble and analyze data and transactions, and prepare statements and reports relating to an assigned area of responsibility. The Accountant may work with one or more countries within a region.

 

Key tasks & Activities

General accounts functions

  • Receives payment documents (expenses, employees expenses, raw material or investments)
  • Checks, verifies and processes invoices and respective purchase order (PO)
  • Sorts, codes and enters accounts payable data in SAP system
  • Files and organizes invoices

Invoicing

  • Receives invoicing request from other departments
  • Prepares and submits invoices in SAP System
  • Prints and issues invoices

Fixed Assets

  • Records fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the SAP system
  • Runs depreciation for all fixed assets

Accruals & Deferred

  • Analyses accounts and registers expenses and revenues
  • Analyses all purchase orders created, and ensure that they are recorded in the correct month.
  • Creates accruals & deferrals.
  • Ensures feasibility of both expenses and revenues

Analytical work

  • Monitors and collects data to assess accuracy and integrity
  • Ensures compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations and systems of internal control
  • Interprets and evaluates results and has a basic understanding of financial statements
  • Creates financial reports and/or presentations
  • May assign work to the Accountant and/or Accounting Clerk

 

Who we are looking for…

Background and Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Management, or similar;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting;

Technical Skills

  • Fluent in English (Mandatory);
  • Extended SAP knowledge (is a plus);
  • Knowledge of financial integration processes;

Interpersonal Skills

  • Organization and Analytical skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Team player and flexible with a proactive attitude.
